What do you need to set up online ticketing for a concert in Colombo?
Setting up online ticketing for a concert takes under 10 minutes once you have a handful of details ready. Here's exactly what to prepare before you submit your event, and what happens after you do.
Core event details
You'll need your event name, category (Concert, Festival, Comedy, and so on), a description, start and end date/time, and your expected attendance. These appear on your public event page, so keep the description clear and specific.
Venue information
Search for your venue from our existing list (common Colombo venues are already on file) or add it manually with the venue name, city, country, and address. If your venue isn't listed yet, our team can add it during setup.
Ticket tiers and pricing
Decide your ticket types, General, VIP, early-bird, and the price per tier. Tiers can be added, edited, or removed any time after launch from your organiser dashboard, so it's fine to start simple and expand later.
Payout details
Provide your bank account, or connected payment gateway account, so ticket revenue settles directly to you. Payouts process within 24 hours of the event ending, along with a full sales and revenue report.
Event assets and marketing basics
A high-resolution banner image, an optional trailer video, and a short description of why people should attend meaningfully improve conversion. If you're running paid ads, ask about tracking pixel setup so ad platforms can optimise toward buyers rather than just clicks.
Door and check-in plan
Decide who will scan tickets on the day, add them as coordinators, and download the TicketsMinistry Manager App ahead of time so your door team can test QR scanning before doors open.
Submit and go live
Submit your event through List Your Event or WhatsApp our team directly. Most events go live within one business day, and once approved, you can start selling immediately and track sales in real time from your dashboard.
Tip
Submit at least two to three weeks before your event date. That leaves runway for an early-bird pricing window and marketing attribution setup before the bulk of your audience buys.
